This is an occasion where everybody wants to look their best. Wearing dazzling clothes and having a flawless look is what we all strive for on this occasion. Here in this post, we will learn how to do the wedding guest makeup looks step by step with some simple wedding guest makeup tips and stand out with our looks.
Wedding Guest Makeup Looks Tutorial:
1. Prep your skin:
First and foremost, prepping your skin is the most important step. Moisturize your skin so that your skin doesn’t have dry patches after you put your makeup on.
2. Create a base:
Now, that you have moisturized your skin it’s time to create a base. Apply foundation or BB cream and blend it well with the blending sponge or blending brush. Conceal dark circles with a concealer one to two shades lighter than your foundation and blend this too.
3. Eye shadow:
Wedding guest makeup looks usually has heavy eye makeup. I am breaking it up into steps.
- Step 1: Apply brown shade eye shadow all over your eyes.
- Step 2: Now select an eyeshadow matching with your dress and apply that all over your eyelids. I am using a green eyeshadow.
- Step 3: Now apply golden eye shadow at the center of the eyelid as shown in the above image.
- Step 4: To get smokey eyes look blend black eye shadow at the outer corner of the eyelid. Try extending black eye shadow from the outer corner of your eyes in an upward direction as if it’s the continuation of your lower lash line. Now blend black eye shadow from the crease area of the eyelid and connect it with the outer line such that it makes a ‘V’ with the eye as shown in the above image.
- Step 5: Spread a little golden eyeshadow on the lower lash line starting from the inner corner of your eyes and stop in midway. See the below image.
4. Apply Eyeliner and Mascara:
Line your upper lashes with eyeliner creating a winged eyeliner look (Trace along the outer black eyeshadow to create a wing). I am wearing liquid eyeliner you can choose any type of eyeliner whichever comforts you. Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler if you wish to and then apply mascara to your upper and lower lashes. You can also make use of false eyelashes to add extra drama to your eyes.

5. Define Eyebrows:
You can define your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil or eyebrow powder.
6. Apply Powder:
You can do this step right after applying foundation too. But I prefer doing this step after completing eye makeup.
7. Contour Your Face:
Wedding guest makeup looks incomplete without sweeping some colors on cheeks. Apply bronzer to your forehead, cheeks, bridge of the nose and, jawline to contour your face and get a sculpted look. Apply blush on the apple of your cheeks. Highlight your cheekbones with a highlighter.
8. Fill In Your Lips:
Fill in your lips with some colors. You can go with a nude shade lipstick or nude lip gloss if your eye shadow is highly pigmented or you are using a glittery eye shadow. I am opting for a bold lip with a bright red shade as an Indian Wedding is all about dazzling and my eye shadow is not too heavily pigmented.
Voila! You are now ready to turn heads with this and earn compliments. Embellish this look with earrings, other accessories, and an elegant hairdo.
Wedding guest makeup tips:
- If your eye shadow is highly pigmented opt for soft shade lipsticks.
- Go with a bold lip look if your eye makeup is subtle.
- Do not miss out on fake lashes if you like that voluminous lashes look.
- If you are wearing a light color outfit like white, wear bold lipstick shades. The red lip looks flattering on a white outfit.
- Ombre lips (gradation of two similar lipstick shades) are a good option for a pout selfie fan to try for a wedding guest makeup looks. Tutorial below.
- Do not forget bronzer and highlighter as it enhances the face features and gives a sculpted look.
- For a fuller lip illusion highlight the cupid bow with a highlighter.
